Here is my layout.  I used my own Timeless Treasures kit you can find it here --> https://www.magnoliagardensscraps.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=9_44_49&products_id=1419  in my store

These are my 3 grandmothers.  My grandmother Inez who is my mom's mom, My great grandmother Osa who's Inez's mom and my Grandma Vennie who is my Dad's mom.  My grandma Osa (whom we all called Aunt Osy) passed away at 92 years some time ago.  My grandma Vennie (87 yrs) and Inez (89 yrs) just passed away within the last 5 years.  I love them all.  They were all around during hard times and had hard lives.  You learned a thing or two from all of them.  They were very wise.

I used to go to my Grandma Osa's living complex all the time after school.  Mom knew where to come find me when I didn't come home.  I loved visiting her.  Listening to stories and helping her do things around the house.

We used to go visit my Grandma Vennie in East Texas every summer when I was young.  Loved visiting her and Aunt Maudie (her sister).  They had huge gardens and one of the biggest and prettiest hydrangea plants on the side of the house.  Vennie always made these butter and parsley mashed potatoes for me.  That was my favorite thing she made.  After I grew up she moved to my hometown and then I moved away to go to school.  She got dementia later on.  It was very hard.

Now grandma Inez I saw quite a lot.  We used to visit her in Plainview during summer but then she also moved to our hometown.  She cooked a lot.  Always had cornbread and pie crust pieces for us when we came over.  She was always baking.  In her youth she was a beautician.  She used to do all our hair.  Unfortunately, she loved to cut everything short and then curl it with a perm.  Was supposed to be body wave hair for me.  I swear I ended up looking like Bozo the clown through most of my high school.  Even my mom and dad got short curly hair.  In her last years, she moved away to Arizona with my aunt Jo (mom's sister) and I didn't get to see her again.  She passed away peacefully in her sleep.  She was a hard woman but I love her very much.

Major Holiday Challenge / OCTOBER MAJOR HOLIDAY CHALLENGE
« Last post by lisahope97 on October 14, 2020, 05:15:58 pm »
Well it's that time of year again...candy, costumes and ghosts!!! I can't wait to see what everyone does for this challenge. It's gonna be super easy. All you
have to do is something using photos from Halloween past. That's it...easy right. I used wordart and photos from my daughters last Halloween before
they got too big to trick or treat. I remember that night, it meant so much to me.

Like all our challenges here...there are a few rules that we must follow for all our challenges and here they are...

1. You may use any product you like in challenges, but you cannot give a link to outside stores or blogs etc.( you may add paint and WordArt, not in the designer's kits)
2. All layouts must give credit to the Designer and the name of the kit used.
3. NO links are to be posted with your layout unless the designer is with MGS then you may post a link to the product at MGS store.
4. NO X-rated or PG+ photos allowed.
5. Every challenge earns you part of a mini kit. Complete all that month's challenges and you will have the whole mini kit.
6. Have fun and be sure to join us each month for more inspiration and challenges

Here is a sample layout I did...

For playing this challenge you'll get a free gift, but if you play them all you'll receive a nice kit at the end of the month when they are all done...here's a sneak peak...

NOW REMEMBER TO KEEP COMING BACK ALL WEEK FOR NEW CHALLENGES and remember to play them all....NOW LET'S GET YOUR SCRAPPIN' ON!!
